Christopher Causey received his B.A. Degree in Human Services from Saint Leo University with undergraduate focus in Psychology, Sociology and Philosophy, and his Master's Degree at Webster University with a concentration in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Experiential Therapies including Mindfulness, Somatic Experience, Breathwork techniques, Yoga, Reiki, Trancework, and others.

Christopher also worked as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) for 8 years which allows him expertise in facilitating specialized sex and love addiction groups as well as recovery groups for co-sex addicts. Chris has extensive clinical knowledge and practice with eating disorders, trauma resolution, sex and love addiction, co-occuring addictions, sex therapy, sexuality and gender related topics, and grief and loss. With this he is able to treat many clients and conduct many different styles of groups and individualized therapy.

An education history that ranges from Conflict Analysis and Resoultion to studies in Sex therapy and Trauma Healing techiniques eventually led Christopher to an interest in Trauma Resolution and Co-occuring addictions. Chris began working at The Refuge in 2007, a pioneer in Trauma based treatment and enjoyed working along side leaders in the substance abuse, trauma resolution, and co-occuring addiction field for over seven years. During that time he helped create Spirit2Spirit, a unique trauma focused program which educated professionals and first responders how to treat traumatized individuals and groups, and was part of the original team which then brought this program internationally as well as within the finest treatment centers in the United States.

Christopher currently has a private practice in addition to holding intensives in Illinois with Tonya Bassett and available for personalized intensives at our retreat center or wherever needed
